Under the general supervision of the Learning & Development Manager [Supervisor], the Learning & Development Trainer II is responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating engaging learning modules, programs, resources, and events, ensuring IEHP can develop and retain talent while creating a culture of learning. The L&D Trainer II coordinates and delivers training covering a wide range of topics for large and small groups or one-on-one, either in person or virtually, in addition to, collaboration with inter-departments to ensure member needs are met while simultaneously building strong peer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct multiple training classes on an ongoing and frequent basis.
  2. Perform advanced formatting functions using Microsoft Office and other programs as needed.
  3. Prepare training resources including the use of Word and Power Point as well as printing, copying, and binding training materials, manuals, and handouts.
  4. Promote “Team Culture” through all interactions.
  5. Ensure a welcoming environment for training attendees.
  6. Communicate effectively with management and training department staff.
  7. Work closely with other trainers and serves as their backup as needed.
  8. Assist in the scheduling of training sessions.
  9. Assist in the scheduling of training classrooms and facilities.
  10. Set up classrooms for training sessions as needed including coordinating classroom set up with facilities and IT.
  11. Work with subject matter expert to help validate content is current.
  12. Collect feedbacks from trainees.
  13. Participate in train the trainer sessions, in order to be prepared to deliver content.
  14. Develop curriculum for new training programs.
  15. Develop curriculum for new training programs as well as reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing curriculum as needed.
  16. Maintain knowledge of policies in accordance with applicable regulatory requirement, external laws and accreditation standards as it relates to the assigned business unit (BU).
  17. Assist in the training needs analysis process.
  18. Research, analyze and recommend external training programs.
  19. Audit and maintain library of training material and index of training sources.
  20. Attend conferences/trainings and bring back best practices to share with team in formal setting.
  21. Conduct needs analysis.
  22. Maintain Pre/Post training focus.
  23. Perform at intermediate competency for WebEx/E-Learning.
  24. Collaborate with Lead trainers on initiatives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
  • One (1) or more of the following scenarios will be considered as qualifying experience
    1. Two (2) or more years of experience as a “Trainer" Or
    2. Subject Matter Expert (equivalent to four (4) or more years of relatable experience) in the assigned department.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree: A minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position. This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above. One (1) or more of the following scenarios will be considered as qualifying experience: 
    • Two (2) years of progressive experience in Training
    • Two (2) years of relevant work experience

 

Key Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of fundamental training/ learning techniques for adult learning
  • Must have working knowledge of office equipment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Power Point

Work Model Location

This position is on a hybrid work schedule. (Mon & Fri - remote, Tues - Thurs onsite in Rancho Cucamonga, CA)

Pay Range

USD $30.72 - USD $39.94 /Hr.
