Under the direction of the Supervisor, Environmental Services, the Environmental Services Technician II is responsible for the following:
- Cleaning and maintaining buildings/facilities primarily focused on the proper cleaning and maintenance of flooring, rugs, and carpet.
- Performing general cleaning including washing walls, wiping surfaces, cleaning glass, and removing rubbish.
- Notifying Environmental Services Lead or Supervisor of the need for repairs or additional work needed to maintain proper building operation.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Complying with all safety, security, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
- Environmental Services Technician II must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

1. Clean building floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, shampooing, or vacuuming.
2. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
3. Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
4. Remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
5. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
6. Clean and vacuum carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.
7. Use ladders to clean ceilings, overhead vents, dust and polish light fixtures, wash and replace window blinds.
8. Dust, wash, or polish furniture.
9. Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
10. May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
11. Submit requisition of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
12. Maintain building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours.
13. Check electrical appliances used to ensure that hazards are not created.
14. Drive vehicles to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or golf carts.
15. May be expected to make basic repairs.
16. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
