Under the general supervision of the Strategy Analytics Manager, the Strategy Analyst is responsible for modeling healthcare related problems, discovering insights and identifying opportunities using data mining, analysis, and data visualization techniques. In addition to advanced analytical skills, the Strategy Analyst will display proficiency at integrating and preparing varied datasets, architecting analytical databases and visualization environments, and communicating results that meet or exceed business requirements. The Strategy Analyst must be able to assess requests and solicit feedback from requestors regarding any critical decision points that are necessary to complete requests accurately and timely. Projects include independently to produce Strategy technical documentation, to communicate with end business users, to create ad-hoc reports, databases, systems, reporting tables, and to automate complex Strategy reports. This role must provide high technical skill to troubleshoot and solve most technical issues, and act as a liaison with IT for issues that are higher in technical complexity. Incumbents are expected to exercise independent judgment in selecting study approach and analytical techniques, and in making sound recommendations.
Key Responsibilities

2. Utilize technical and analytical expertise in data design, data collection, reporting and monitoring activities for strategy enrollment initiatives.
3. Execute enhancements on new strategies or future workflows utilizing expertise in current business processes.
4. Troubleshoot and solve most technical issues using expert technical skills, and act as the Strategy liaison with IT to streamline, troubleshoot and resolve issues that are higher in technical complexity.
5. Develop ad-hoc report using programming logic based on business requirements to extract healthcare, membership and revenue data for reporting purposes.
6. Create/maintain critical reference table(s) to import data from IEHP partners and internal department analysts to utilize.
7. Pull and manipulate data requests for ad hoc analysis as required by analysts within the team(s).
8. Mentor and train analysts on how to use and pull data from the SQL database.
9. Create, up-date, and modify existing reporting tables from scratch based on business requirements.
10. Write queries and stored procedures in SQL Server efficiently in order to meet reporting requirements. In addition, automate as many standard enrollment reports as possible.
11. Perform QA testing and data validation of output to ensure that the results are fit for business needs. The requirements include developing and writing queries to verify the accuracy of the data output.
12. Collaborate with other IEHP departments and data stewards to assess and prioritize needs, and assist with developing strategies, plans, policies and procedures related to providing effective reporting solutions.
13. Aid Strategy units in providing technical skills in real time for troubleshooting, reporting, etc.
