The Solution Developer I- Automation & Innovation Management focuses on cutting-edge tech domains, solving complex business issues through AI, ML, and RPA. As part of the COE, you’ll use critical thinking for automated processes, collaborate with stakeholders, and optimize efficiency. This role involves extracting insights, collaborating on process. From reviewing processes to submitting code for version control, this developer ensures high-quality outputs with a tangible impact on efficiency. Excitingly, they work on transforming uses cases into assets and continuously improve processes, contributing to innovation and automation development best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Use critical thinking to develop automated processes to solve problems related to business use cases, specifically requiring manual intervention due to heavily repetitive or monotonous tasks, with consideration to high value use cases with considerable ROI. 
2. Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends.
3. Collaborate with business stakeholders, process analyst, and Team Members to assess current business processes and identify opportunities for process automation.
4. Be knowledgeable about the use of programming tools, coding tools, RPA, AI, ML tools such as Anaconda Navigator, python libraries, and any tool acquired that is maintained or used within IT for automation purposes. Present the reasons for use of the selected tool; justify using the tool to build the proposed automation solution..
5. Collaboratively work to solve complex problem statements for our clients relating to automation and processes across all lines of business, business units, and programs.
6. Review both manual and technical processes within business units to facilitate automated processing, improving efficiencies and quality metrics.
7. Prepare and maintain accurate, detailed process documentation, including technical requirements, error handling, and exception procedures during development.
8. Work with team to create/define Automated processes relative to resolving business automation use cases that will be used to create efficiencies in and continuous improvement of processes including automation, optimization, and elimination of redundant or repetitive tasks. 
9. Submit code to Git/DevOps repository for version control and as a source of reusable/open information for other RPA/Automation developers.
10. Develop an understanding of RPA, Low-Code/No-Code solutions and the ability to work with various software tools to create automation solutions that align with defined business and functional requirements.
11. Acquire a solid understanding of the principles of data engineering, including data wrangling/transformation, tools or programming languages, and data visualization/BI technologies for the purposes of automating processes involving data manipulation.

Qualifications

Education & Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or relevant technical field from an accredited institution required.
  • In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position. This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of information systems experiences at a developer level, with a successful track record with:

    • RPA/AI/ML developer, solutions developer, or solutions architect.
    • Facilitate discussions around potential solutions and help to drive consensus on the best approach to resolve conflicts and overcome obstacles that may arise during the implementation of automation solutions.
    • Researching, designing, implementing, and managing RPA projects.
    • Testing and evaluating new programs.
    • Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.
    • Writing and implementing efficient code; researching, building, and designing self-running artificial intelligence (AI) systems to automate predictive models.
    • Spectrum of offerings across basic RPA to machine learning, cognitive automation, and Quantum Computing capabilities.
    • RPA/automation assessment work to drive key automation outcomes.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills: oral, written, listening and concept delivery and PoC demonstrations.
  • Data analytics/automation tools: Alteryx, Microsoft Power Query, Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Exposure to big data approaches: PySpark, Apache Spark, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure ML, Java. 
  • Collaboration software: Teams, Workfront, Asana, Slack, etc.
  • Comfortable working in a cloud-based tech environment.
  • Comfortable with SQL and frameworks.
